You’ll notice the price difference of composite doors, but how exactly are they different from Upvc?
Unlike Upvc doors which are purely plastic and generally 28mm thick, composite doors are 44mm thick and made from a number of different materials which are glued and pressed together under high pressure conditions. The materials are selected specifically for their long lasting properties and strength. Once pressed and bonded together composite doors counteract flaws common in single-material Upvc doors and are more durable, secure and weather resistant.
- Composite doors offer a high level of security and are incredibly difficult to break into due to their super-strong structure and laminated glass finish.
- Composite doors are weather-resistant and durable, meaning that they last a long time (35- 50 years) and are not prone to normal wear and tear damage other doors suffer.
- Composite doors are easy and inexpensive to look after. They require minimal maintenance.
- They come in a variety of designs and colours to suit all tastes and budget.
